Zeal to Heal

To clip a thing's wings so it can't fly will ground it, but to also cut off it's legs so it can't move will kill it and is cruelty; you've gone too far. The same prophets who spoke "woe" also spoke "comfort"

ISAIAH 40:1-2 (KJV)"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. 2) Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins."

It's too easy to take shots at and beat someone up who is already shot up and beat down by their own failures and sins, but it takes real love and strength to help pick them up when they've repented and been humbled openly before everyone for their wrong. Discipline should never turn into abuse and become a beating that undermines correction and humiliates those disciplined beyond recovery.

ZECHARIAH 1:15 (NLT)"But I am very angry with the other nations that are now enjoying peace and security. I was only a little angry with my people, but the nations inflicted harm on them far beyond my intentions." #JUDGMENT  MATTHEW 5:7 (ESV)"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy." #MERCY

Zeal for righteousness without an equal zeal to heal is without wisdom and nothing like Yeshua the Christ. Once a person has submitted to correction and discipline stop beating them or you are taking vengeance on them as if you are GOD which also puts you in line for judgment because vengeance is His.

ROMANS 12:19 (KJV)"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."

When you determine another person's punishment based on your own righteousness and not that of YAH's that is unrighteous judging. The LORD will deal with you according to your own self-righteous indignation and unrepentant judgment of another. When it is your turn for mercy remember the mercy you receive will be in proportion to the mercy you gave. ~ I.J. West

MATTHEW 18:33 (ESV)"And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?" #FORGIVE  EPHESIANS 4:31-32 (ESV)"Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32) Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." #MALICE
