I want
to challenge the Black Community in love to start posting more
empowering, uplifting, and encouraging messages as well as Black history
in our online posts along with more positive images in our picture
messages. There's nothing wrong with telling the inconvenient truth,
having an unpopular opinion, and confronting wrong or bad behavior
whether it be outside or within our community. I address hard issues
myself and sometimes it needs to be done or said to bring an issue to
light to challenge us to make corrections by confrontation, but we must
not let the negatives outweigh the positives. We seem to often dwell on
negativity to the point where we can't build sustainable positive
momentum because we don't have those images or stories at the forefront
of our minds or in our face due to the overwhelming number of negative
ones we are drawn to.
