Here are just a few reasons why you should obey the Word of God and NOT engage in "premarital sex" (fornication) or "extramarital sex" (adultery):
1) BECAUSE GOD SAID SO (best reason).
2) Because it most often lays the foundation for failed relationships by confusing true love with physical satisfaction and false affection.
1st CORINTHIANS 6:18-20 (ESV); "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 19) Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20) for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body."
Sexual sin violates and devalues the person you are as well as vandalizes the Lord Yeshua the Messiah's personal property, which is YOU. Every time you commit such an act it is as if you are taking Christ with you to make him watch or force his participation, because he lives inside of you through the Holy Spirit. I know it sounds graphic and repulsive but that is exactly the point the scriptures are trying to make so that you see it for the sin it is and don't do it. Our natural carnal desires are always in opposition to the desires of the Holy Spirit and will of GOD. For any Christian believer our flesh wants to have sex or indulge itself some other way against the will of God because it is selfish, and our born again spirit wants to serve and obey God's word; which is an ongoing internal battle between the flesh and the spirit. The one you choose to submit to determines who wins and what you do.
Don't let the Devil make you live in condemnation and suffer in silence. If you're guilty then repent, ask God to forgive you and help you develop the strength to overcome. If you are struggling with it then find someone more spiritually stronger than you that can hold you accountable and pray with you until you are victorious in overcoming. Please don't take the LORD with you on a "booty call" because that may be the very moment He calls for you into eternity. You don't want to leave like that. ~ I.J. West
GALATIANS 5:16-17 (ESV); "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17) For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do."
