One thing President Obama's presidency showed me is that the United States of America loves to hate, but hates to love; especially if you don't have the "complexion for the connection".
However you feel about President Barack and Michelle Obama is your business, but those who couldn't keep their feelings focused on politics rather than their persons only showed how much of a bigot or a coon you are. In January the first Black President of the U.S.A leaves office along with his beautiful black family. While I didn't agree with the man's politics I respected him as a man, and was proud to have a Black person in the Presidency.
As a black man with black children of my own I find it appalling, but not surprising, that many in a country that's suppose to be so "free" are still enslaved to such hateful racist mentalities. No Presidential family has ever been as disrespected or maligned as the Obamas have been, and nobody with good sense on this earth can say it has nothing to do with the color of their skin; but sadly many don't have good sense. Denials of the truth don't erase it's proof.
Racism became more blatant and racial injustice became more open under the Obama presidency due to the hatred of others against primarily Black people in the U.S. This isn't President Obama's fault, but it is a clear sign of the racial hatred that has always existed and never gone away regardless of how many protests, marches, or rallies we've had, and in spite of any Civil Rights legislation passed in our country's history.
President Obama's presidency was used as an excuse by racists & bigots to openly express their violent hatred, but he was not the cause of their hatred. The Obama's were disrespected and called the worst names of any Presidential family in our history. Now we're preparing for the presidency of Donald J. Trump. In my opinion, Donald Trump is a well deserved "punishment" to an evil & perverse nation that refuses to correct it's wicked behavior.
Some may have a problem with me saying "Donald Trump is a well deserved "punishment", but I stand by it. Those who disagree are perhaps thinking in a very narrow way that usually starts with themselves as individuals, then along lines of political allegiance, and based on other speculations or unfounded rumors being circulated about what they believe is to come.
We're not going back into physical slavery, yet the attitudes which created the atmosphere of racial inequality and social indifference is increasing with a vengeance, but transmogrifying into something much worst. "Classism" is on it's way in, and will prove to be much more deadly than racism has ever been to all peoples. No one will be exempt because of their skin color or ethnicity.
The Scriptures say in MATTHEW 12:45; "Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.” Sometimes, because we didn't deal with what was first it comes back last and is worst. This is the situation we're in.
Hate breeds hate, and the United States is in a downward spiral of hate that cannot be resolved by our politicians. It must be resolved in our homes to change the hearts of this nation as a whole. God Almighty is not coming down from Heaven above to teach us how to love or end racism. When he returns it will be to judge the Earth for the unrighteousness of mankind, not to save it. Our only hope is to change now before that happens. ~ I.J. West
ACTS 2:40; And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.”
Amen. To all of this.
