There are many false manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the earth today because Satan is a great imitator and not an originator of anything but lies. I will admit that even I have been deceived in times past by false manifestations portrayed as moves of God or even by certain false messengers because of a strong "sensory experience" which appeared to be a true spiritual experience. When you learn better you must do better or you are doomed to repeat the same cycles and live in deception. God is not excusing our ignorance, and it is contingent on every born again believer to gain the knowledge necessary to walk in the truth which is contained and revealed in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. I don't believe we should preach poverty but I can't look past the fact that the scriptures warn against pursuing riches and that our Lord declared of himself in LUKE 9:58; "And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." How the "prosperity profits" put a twist on this that Yeshua was rich in his earthly ministry I will never understand but it is clear from his own words that material gain was not his priority or possession. He lived by faith and taught the apostles to do the same. His having a money bag for a treasury or people giving to him only shows that he was organized and was assisted in his ministry by others for his needs; not that he was rich. Even the reference of Abraham and the patriarchs as being wealthy is taken way out of context and perspective. God blessed Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob because he was financing an entire nation in them; not so they could be big shots and live like the wicked. He is an all sufficient God, not a spiritual ATM. You do get by giving but not for the wrong reasons and with the sole motive of getting. True givers take more pleasure in the giving than the getting. You give cheerfully and gladly that you are able to be a blessing and that in turn makes God bless you with what you ask for beyond your needs.
2nd CORINTHIANS 9:6-8; "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7) Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work".
Many so called apostles and prophets in our day focus heavily on financial prosperity and blessings rather than salvation and preparing people for the return of the Lord Yeshua. They use gimmicks and tricks such as the promise of prosperity in exchange for monetary investment or gifts. They promise material gain and use psychology, the power of suggestion, intimidation, and even hypnotism to fool people into believing them. The Lord has never operated that way neither has he made a person pay for prophecy or deliverance. It only requires faith not money, and he already paid for us. Calling out someone's bank account, check book number, other insignificant minor details, or even telling them to give a certain monetary amount based on some abstract number related to the message while promising blessings is false teaching and lying on the Holy Ghost. It is called "clairvoyance" and is the operation of a demon known as a "familiar spirit" at work interfering in the lines of communication and feeding deceptive information to the supposed prophet; who may have unknowingly tapped into it thinking it was actually the Spirit of the LORD. This shows a lack of discernment and no lack of carnality, pride, and immaturity on the behalf of the speaker. The Lord allows such false manifestations to test the soundness, resolve, and faith of his followers and prove them. Though the Lord himself truly already knows he lets it happen for a witness when he judges the matter and those involved. Having the Holy Spirit and being a baptized, born again believer does not excuse your personal obligation to know God's word to avoid being unwittingly misled into idolatry and rebellion against the LORD. Many preachers who have gone after such errors followed after what they saw or felt combined with the results; believing it was of the LORD. They desire to be like the ones they see on the grand stage of men and have replaced the example of Yeshua as their role model in favor of others. Even the once sincere ministers have also fallen victim to such deception, and in turn imitate these false operations of God and mislead the people under their watch. Deception begets deception in many cases, and we are ultimately responsible for our own discernment or lack thereof. All true deception contains an element of truth; but a "half-truth" is still a "whole lie". Even if what the messenger says comes to pass it is still considered false by the scriptures and is a deception to lead you astray from the truth after what the Bible calls "other gods"; which means anything that misleads another by person or in principle contrary to the Word of GOD.
DEUTERONOMY 13:1-3; "If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2) And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3) Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul."
"Kundalini" spirit energy is often manifested in many church services unaware to the saints of God because it so closely resembles the true manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Kundalini is taught and very prevalent in Hinduism and known by other terms such as "Chi" or "Ki" spiritual power in many Oriental practices such as the martial arts. It is actually the channeling of demonic energy for personal use and an operation of witchcraft. It is also seen in other parts of the world in such practices as "Voodoo", "Santeria", and in "Transcendental Meditation". The deep type of mediation often stressed and practiced by Yoga masters and Buddhist monks are means to clear one's mind so that they can "transcend" beyond the physical realm into the spiritual realm which more easily allows access to their spirit by demonic beings who seek to influence that person's thoughts and govern their actions. Not only will it allow re-entry of old things but access to new and worst things because the vacated space has not been filled up with the Word of God. LUKE 11:25-26; "And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26) Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first." This is often a precursor to full blown demonic possession or severe demonic oppression that manifest the same way. A blank mind is the Devil's perfect canvas, and a troubled one is his playground. Put your thoughts on the LORD and the Word of GOD. ISAIAH 26:3; "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." We are to meditate on the Word of GOD to avoid such an occurrence from happening to us.
PSALM 1:1-2; "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2) But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."
One of the ways to discern the difference between a genuine and a false move of God is the lack of self-control present in its manifestation and the rebellion or stubbornness it produces in the individual. People being vigorously knocked down, dancing uncontrollably, and blown on along with other similar types of manifestations and parlor tricks are not of God. Kundalini and demonic manifestations often seek to knock an individual or group of persons out so they cannot receive the Word of the LORD which is the preeminent centerpiece of all worship services and fellowship. The power of God can be overwhelming and a person may fall out but in every instance where this has been such a case in the Holy Scriptures from Old to New Testament, even in the presence of GOD himself or a heavenly messenger, the individual was instructed to get up and brought back to clear consciousness so they could received the word of truth and be fully aware of what was going on. They were never handled in a violent, embarrassing, or immodest manner. The angelic messenger never took the posture of standing over the person so as to lord over them as if they should be in awe of them or to draw attention to themselves as being powerful because they too were servants, and to do so would be considered the blasphemy of receiving worship which is for YAH alone. Below are some examples:
EZEKIEL 44:4-5; "Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face. 5) And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary."
DANIEL 10:9-11; "Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. 10) And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. 11) And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling."
REVELATIONS 19:10; "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Indeed there is a lot of "faking and shaking" going down at the ole "chuch", but if God Almighty isn't moving you then sit yourself down and act like you have good sense. Stop sowing your seed to meet the false prophets greed and leaving yourself in need. God ain't trying to hurt you to bless you. It's time to stop letting preachers push you down to the ground, empty your pockets with slick words, and acting like circus clowns in church to put on a show for everybody else while you spend the next few weeks and months going through hell waiting on the bogus word they spoke over you come to pass. "Honey chile" and "my brotha from anotha motha" the chances of that lie you paid for coming to pass is "slim and none" and "Brother Slim" got shot and robbed by "None", and it doesn't look like he is going to make it. Get you some real faith in God, study his Word, develop your prayer life, give cheerfully and not in gullibility, and believe the Word of God to manifest in your life according to the scriptures. If the man or woman prophesying to you doesn't have a word from the Word then they don't have crap. Get you a Word from the Lord, a real move of God, and some more maturity in God so you won't be manipulated emotionally but can discern the deception. YAH (GOD) wants to bless you for real. ~ I.J.
