Dispelling Prosperity Myths - "Was Christ Rich?"

There's a BIG difference between Christ and those who justify themselves getting rich from other folks money against Scripture to satisfy their own lusts. There's nothing wrong with having money or nice things, but how you get them is an issue. If you get it through dishonest means by manipulating people you're suppose to be ministering too then you're a lying thief who doesn't represent Christ, because Christ never did that. Let's dispel a few "prosperity pimp" false teachings.

Some Simple Thoughts On Tithing

If the Bible doesn't teach you have to pay tithes any longer under the New Covenant in Yeshua the Christ but the church does then who are you paying tithes to and why? God doesn't require it of you but the church does?? This means the church has laid upon you a "necessity"which is an obligation that is contrary to the Scriptures.

IS MONEY REALLY THE "ANSWER"?

I've heard the following scripture used improperly for years but I never addressed the error or heard it addressed until now. Here's the scripture in question:

ECCLESIASTES 10:19; "A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things."

Does this really mean what it looks like it says? Does money really answer ALL things? In the Western hemisphere of the world we tend to believe that everything in the world revolves around our western thinking and language. However, the Bible is an eastern book written from an eastern mindset which is why just understanding the Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek languages of which the Bible was written in isn't enough to give us a clear understanding. I laugh to myself in disappointment at those who take Hebrew names and learn how to quote the words and think that makes them more godly or spiritual, and many of them cuss like a drunk and slander others relentlessly but don't see that as being ungodly. You must understand the thought process and ideals behind what is written to truly understand the text and not take it out of context.
