The violence in the world is never a surprise to me anymore, but
the insensitivity to the suffering of others who are victims of it by
those who claim to be morally upright or godly is always a
disappointment. "Sodom and Gomorrah" represent actual places
that were subjected to divine judgment, but for much more than what most
folks zero in on that makes their story famous. Sexual perversion was
not the only abomination Sodom & Gomorrah was guilty of, nor is it the
first thing mentioned when God Almighty gives his reasons for why he
destroyed them in judgment. Sadly, The Most High couldn't even find ten
righteous people for whom he would have spared the whole for. History
has a funny way of repeating itself if we're not careful, and we're even
worst.
EZEKIEL 16:48-50 (ESV); "As
I live, declares the Lord God, your sister Sodom and her daughters have
not done as you and your daughters have done. 49) Behold, this was the
guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of
food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy. 50) They
were haughty and did an abomination before me. So I removed them, when I
saw it." #AMERICA #SODOM #GOMORRAH #USA #ABOMINATION
My
compassion for all regardless of race, ethnicity, or lifestyle preference hasn't blinded my spiritual discernment. The true conspiracy against
humanity is a "rabbit hole" that's goes much deeper than our natural
discernment can see, and from which our spiritual blindness prevents us from
understanding. We are experiencing symptoms of greater problems that go
purposely overlooked like a physician who ignores curing the disease to
instead provide temporary relief of the patient's symptoms to keep them
coming back in order to continue profiting from their copay, but still
leaving them sick. We're not as good as we think and are much worst than
we care to admit. Our denial of our "sin sickness" prevents our healing while increasing the evidence against us for our condemnation.
JEREMIAH 8:21-22 (ESV); "For
the wound of the daughter of my people is my heart wounded; I mourn,
and dismay has taken hold on me. 22) Is there no balm in Gilead? Is
there no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my
people not been restored?" #DISEASED #MorallyCorrupt #SpirituallySick #SocialDisorder
The
recent tragic incident in Orlando, Florida is being politicized as
expected to be more about the LGBT Community who were the targets this
time, and also about Radical Islamic Jihadist because another Muslim was
the assailant. In narrowing the focus to these two groups it misleads
the public by using this tragedy to help promote other divisive agendas.
It minimizes the focus on the rampant violence and mistreatment of
people on a global scale; especially here domestically whether it be for
racial & ethnic differences or for personal lifestyle choices. This
year's political candidates are playing one side or the other with
either anti-Islamic sentiments or pro-LGBT rhetoric to fuel the fires
slowly consuming us all. #ORLANDO
EPEHSIANS 5:6-7 (KJV); "Let
no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh
the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7) Be not ye
therefore partakers with them" #LIES #POLITICS #RHETORIC #VainWords
Today's society is diseased with racial
bigotry, social indifference to human suffering, blatant injustice,
irrespective of divine law while legislating "preferential" morality
that hypocritically labels any disapproval as
hate speech, is guilty of ungodly pride, overindulgent greed, negligence
of the poor, rampant with sexual perversion, and spilling over with
violence. It's interesting how we pick and choose the sins we want to condemn others for while overlooking our own. We are the modern day Sodom & Gomorrah in line to
suffer the same judgment, and like them we have no clue or don't care
that it's coming because we refuse to repent & change. ~ I.J. West
LUKE 13:2-5 (ESV); "And
he answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners
than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? 3) No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4) Or
those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you
think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in
Jerusalem? 5) No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” #REPENT #CHANGE #DoRight
