The real work of a "revolution" is always done at the grassroots level by
unknowns and unsung heroes who make possible the platforms we see
public figures often stand on. Whether you are religious or not and believe the Bible as
literal or are wise enough to glean from the message behind the Scriptures but only as allegory there is yet something to be learned from
the examples within and the ancient wisdom of the text as with other literature which I also study like Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". I will use the Holy Scriptures interspersed within and between paragraphs to highlight my points because I am a man of true faith in them who practices the principles beyond what is traditionally accepted or assumed, and I've found them to work well for me. There's too much nonsense being promoted in the Black Community that are distractions,
and most of it comes from "us" internally. A "sniper" must focus on the
"High-Value Target" in their scope one shot at a time without getting
distracted so they don't miss. In order to hit multiple targets
simultaneously more snipers must be trained and raised up as a "focused few".
LEVITICUS 26:8 (ESV); "Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword."
Bombs hit a wide range as well as create noise or distractions but cause collateral damage, and often miss harder to reach targets who know how to evade them behind enemy lines. Among us we have a lot of loud, noisy, charismatic yet superficial personalities who pull on our emotional heartstrings with fiery speeches and draw upon images of nostalgia from leaders or movements of our past that are now gone. These self appointed leaders serve no one but themselves, and their highly charged rhetoric does little for us nor poses a threat to the system of oppression over us. No government agency considers them as important as they portray themselves, nor is sending out "agents" to sabotage them. They play their emotional Black Power "Soft Christian", "Radical Muslim", "Hebrew Negrew jibberish", "Conscious Community" or "Pan-Afrikan" violins to lull us into hypnosis to follow their tune like mice foolishly following the "Pied Piper". They prey on us as gullible enough to excuse whatever wrong they do without requiring accountability, and act as if we should believe in them more than in ourselves or even God Almighty. Stop looking for or trying to make someone a "Black Messiah" to follow!
LUKE 4:17-19 (ESV); "And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, 18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19) to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
The mission of the one and only true "Messiah", as shown above in Luke 4:17-19, was not only to redeem lost mankind but to also empower people to live free of suffering and oppression trusting in YAH to help them according to their faith. "FAITH" is also a verb that means "belief in action". Yeshua HaMoshiach (Jesus the Messiah) healed two blind men by this principle when they made their way to him as recorded in MATTHEW 9:29 (KJV); "Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you." Your faith is stagnant until it becomes corresponding actions! Opening the jail cell for a prisoner is of no consequence if the captive won't step out and be free. JAMES 2:17 (KJV); "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." You have to get involved in the process of your own deliverance or it won't come. Whether you believe in God or not, no mysterious power or being is coming out of the sky to help you do what you won't even believe you can do or bother trying to do; especially if you are trusting in another person to do it for you. True leaders don't make you dependent on them but teach & guide to help develop the leadership within you to be independent of them, and to do more than them even after they're gone.
JOHN 14:12 (KJV); "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."
The ammo & weaponry needed is within each individual, but we must learn how to develop ourselves to use them effectively for our good and continual advancement as well as for our defense and the survival of our successive generations. PROVERBS 13:22 (ESV); "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous." The leader you are looking for has been staring back at you in the mirror daily. Follow your dreams and pursue your goals without waiting on others to give you a goal to fulfill their dreams that leaves you still dreaming. We can't delay our destiny or be denied our rightful place on this Earth waiting for direction from someone else when we can already see the road. Rebuilding the Black Community is not a "bomb run" or simply firing a machine gun blindly hoping to eventually hit the mark, but it must be treated as a covert ops special mission requiring pinpoint accurate planning and precise strategies to be successful for us all. We have the ability and the strength to do it so let's get moving together. Shalom. ~ I.J. West
MATTHEW 6:3-4 (ESV); "But
when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your
right hand is doing, 4) so that your giving may be in secret. And your
Father who sees in secret will reward you."
